Domain Name Registration Frequently Asked Questions

Why register your domain name with us?

Picking the perfect domain name is an important step of your business venture. If you have a creative idea to start something online or a great name for your business website, then we recommend registering the domain name immediately before anyone else gets it. Your domain can be used for your business website and business email address, that will establish your online business identity. A great domain name can also increase your business’s brand value, create marketing and communication opportunities.

We have partnered with multiple domain name registrars to bring maximum domain name registration options available under common platform. We provide support for over 1000+ domain name TLDs. Let’s search your desired domain name in above domain search field. When you find the domain you want and it’s available to register, add it to the cart and complete checkout.

Some domain names may come back with a price higher than expected. These domains are known as premium domains, and they are considered valuable domain real estate. Premium domains might be more expensive, but the benefits often make up for the initial cost investment.

If the domain you requested is already registered, we provide available alternative spelling and extensions. For example, you might be able to select a .info or .net extension, rather than .com. Or you can review domains with extensions unique to your idea, such as .studio or .design.

We also offer Domain Broker Service as an option to attempt acquiring a domain that is already registered on your behalf. After purchasing the service, our dedicated broker agents will take every reasonable step to attempt to secure the domain on your behalf.

During registration, you’ll need to provide your contact information. We will automatically hide your name, street address, phone number and email address in the WHOIS directory for every registered domain name. We strongly encourage upgrading to a higher level of domain protection to further protect your identity and your entire online presence.

What are Premium Domain Names?

Premium domain names are short & sweet, memorable, easy-to-spell or pronounce names that end in a popular extension like .com. These domain names tend to cost little more than normal domain names, because they are more likely to generate more traffic to any website.

If you search for a premium domain name that’s already registered, we perform a basic search using the name you entered and provide a list of alternate domain names that you might be interested in registering. On the Premium Domains tab, we also list domain names for sale by their owners. You can purchase them through us.

To purchase a premium domain name, simply add it to your shopping cart and proceed through checkout. There are two fees: a transfer fee and a registration fee. Sales tax is applicable to premium domain names. After payment, the domain will briefly move into a holding account and then we’ll then transfer it to your account. We charge subsequent renewals at the normal renewal price, unless a premium domain has special renewal pricing. You can access the domain name in your account after we complete the transfer process.

How can I protect my domain name?

Protecting your domain name is an essential part of managing your online presence. Our different domain protection plans hides personal contact information and helps prevent accidental domain expiration, unauthorized domain transfers and vulnerabilities on your website, such as malware.

Why is protecting my domain important?

When a domain is registered, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, or ICANN, requires us to gather contact information for the person or business registering the domain name, known as the registrant or domain holder. This information includes name, phone number, address and other details, which is reported on the WHOIS directory. Keeping your domain contact information private helps prevent unwanted spam calls and emails, and makes sure you’re in control of what information is publicly available. But it’s not just about keeping your personal information private, either. We want to help you protect your domain and your entire online presence.

What kind of protection is offered?

We have three different protection plans to choose from so you can determine which option is best for you and your online presence.

  • Basic Privacy Protection (or Basic Protection): Regulations vary around the globe, but we automatically hide your name, street address, phone number and email address in the WHOIS directory for every registered domain name. Based on current ICANN regulations, your state/province, country and organization name (if you have one) will still be displayed.
  • Full Domain Privacy & Protection (or Full Protection): Instead of masking your contact information on the WHOIS directory, Full Protection substitutes your contact information with proxy details. You’ll get a private email address that can be used to filter, block or forward emails to your main address. You’ll also get Ownership Protection to protect your domain from hijacking and accidental loss due to an expired credit card. Full Protection prevents certain domain actions from being completed without additional verification, such as transferring away, cancelling or changing contact information.
  • Ultimate Domain Protection & Security (or Ultimate Security): This option includes all the features of Full Protection, along with our Website Security Basic. This product protects your domain and website with automatic malware scans and continuous security monitoring. It also monitors search engine blacklists to ensure your domain reputation is protected. If Website Security finds an issue on your site, we’ll notify you as soon as it’s found, along with the next steps you need to take.

Can I change my domain name protection plan?

Yes, you can change your protection plan at any time. You can upgrade your protection plan to gain additional protection features. Or, you can downgrade your protection plan.

How can I verify domain ownership?

We recommend adding a TXT record to your DNS zone file to verify domain ownership. This is the best option to maintain your domain protection while letting you prove you own the domain name. You can also toggle your privacy settings, which will show all registrant contact information.

When you say "domain name," what exactly do you mean?

Your domain name serves as your name in the digital world. Having the same domain name as someone else is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Anyone who wants to start a website, whether a local business, a blogger or anyone else, needs a domain name.

What is a domain name's significance?

Users will easily access your website if you use domain names that are both simple and user-friendly. As seen in the example below, a basic, descriptive website is easy to remember and looks fantastic on a business card. Your domain name will be displayed on all online communications, including your website and email. For example, consider the email addresses [email protected] or [email protected]. The cheapest .com domain name is for sale—domains with other popular extensions. CO.ONLINE, and so on, can also be registered. How do you go about purchasing a domain name for your website?

What exactly is a sub-domain?

The main domain is divided into smaller ones known as subdomains. “blog.company.com,” for example, is a subdomain of “company.com.” Your main website may or may not be linked from the pages on your subdomain that are meant to direct visitors there.

How does a domain name work?

The simplest way to describe a domain name is as your Internet address. The Internet Protocol (IP) is a collection of integers used to locate and identify machines on the internet protocol (IP). Domain names were created to help people remember a string of digits for a website rather than just a name or phrase. For example, when you type www.domain.com, the Domain Name System (DNS) converts it to an IP address. The Internet then uses these IP addresses to connect to a specific website.

Which domain name is the best fit for my website?

Your domain name must be a memorable phrase or term related to the content of your blog or website. For example, if the website is for a company, the domain name should include the company’s name. Choose a name for your blog relevant to the content you intend to publish (e.g., food, fashion, etc.). Keep your domain name between 5 and 20 letters long to make it easier to remember. Avoid using complicated or abbreviated words. Avoid using digits in your domain name to prevent confusion between “1” and “One.” The most critical step is to select a domain name that you can proudly display as your website’s URL.

Is it necessary to renew my domain name?

If you do not renew your domain name registration, you may lose your entire online identity. Keep an eye on the domain name expiration date and renew it at least two weeks before it expires. When your domain name is taken away from you, the registrar takes ownership and auctions it off to the highest bidder. It’s a brilliant idea to keep all of your contact information, including billing and administrative contacts, up to date. We will send registration renewals and price increases to the registered email addresses. When your domain name expires, you lose your internet brand, your online presence, and the visibility you’ve worked so hard to build.

How do I register a domain name? Or how do I purchase a domain name?

1.      Find a . COM domain name that you like.
2.      If the desired domain name is available, provide your contact information and DNS settings.
3.      Make sure the data is correct by checking the information.
4.      To accept the terms of the service agreement, check the box.
5.      Enter your payment details and click the “Order” button.

Why should I choose you to register my domain name?

Registering a domain name enhances your online credibility. Use domain names to aid in developing a dynamic web presence for your company. Your domain name creates an online identity for you and expands your branding, marketing, and communication options.

Is it possible to modify my domain's name servers?

We provide you with complete control over your domain’s DNS. You’ll need to adjust your name servers to connect your domain name to your website. On the DNS Management tab, under the section Name Servers, you can edit your DNS entries at any time.

Do you think it's a wise idea to register several domain names?

Yes. To prevent your competitors from obtaining a domain name that may divert customers away from you, register multiple domain names. This enables you to market to a broader audience and gets listed on a more significant number of search engines. In addition, instead of directing visitors to an error page, you can record common misspellings of your domain name.

Is it possible for me to keep my contact information hidden?

Yes. As per our agreement with ICANN, we must add valid contact information to the WHOIS directory for each domain you register. Instead of purchasing private registration as part of the domain checkout procedure, you can conceal your personal contact information and display proxy contact information. Private registration is not permitted in some registries (e.g., the US). Therefore, you will not be able to apply privacy to your domain name in the Domain Manager.

I want to move my domain name to your company. Is this possible?

Absolutely. You can move your domain from another registrar to us. There are multiple steps to transferring your domain to us. Your current registrant will complete some processes while we will complete others. We’ll take you step-by-step through the process.

What is the right way to forward my domain name to another website?

To use domain forwarding, you must first register your domain with us. You can then forward your domain name to another website, social media site, online store, or media site via our Domains Settings page. Next, follow the instructions to link your domain name once you’ve chosen a forwarding destination (usually by entering the URL of the site and clicking the Connect Domain button).
